Lavvo/gapahuk
The lavvo /gapahuk camp is an iconic feature at the base of our property. We have a large lavvo (a tee-pee style tent traditionally used by the Sami people of northern Europe) with benches and tables accommodating 30 people, around an atmospheric central fireplace. This vast space is used for both meals and sleeping. We also have 2-3 smaller lavvos housing up to 12 people each, that have a raised wooden floor. For the most rustic option, we have 3 gapahuker in the lavvo camp that house 6-8 people each. These lean-to style structures are airy but waterproof.
While the lavvo camp offers a primitive experience, there is comfort in knowing that the shared ablution facilities are less than 100 metres away. No bedding is provided at lavvo camp so you will need to bring your own sleeping mat and sleeping bag.
